AAF Roanoke received a large number of applications from nonprofits across the Roanoke and New River Valley regions. “Choosing the accepted nonprofits is one of the most difficult tasks we have all year,” said Stefanie Brown, AAF Roanoke President. “The nonprofit community in Roanoke is outstanding, and choosing which applicants to accept is a painstaking process. We want to do what we can to help all the nonprofits succeed.”

In previous events, AAF Roanoke’s CreateAthon event and its volunteers have provided more than half a million dollars worth of creative services to local nonprofit businesses. Since 2002, agencies and creative groups in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico have held CreateAthon events in their cities. The effort has benefited more than 1,300 nonprofit organizations with projects valued at over $24 million. For more information on the program, please visit www.createathon.org.
