The Unifying Voice of Advertising
The Roanoke Chapter of the American Advertising Federation is the only professional organization devoted entirely to the business of advertising in the Roanoke and New River valleys. AAF Roanoke is a local affiliate of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), which protects and promotes the advertising industry.
Members enjoy the perks of staying up-to-date on trends in marketing, rubbing elbows with some of the best in the industry, and will gain insights on how to succeed in this fast-paced and ever-changing business environment. Events include professional development luncheons, social and career networking opportunities, government relations support, mentorship opportunities for students, and the American Advertising Awards.
There’s a membership level for everyone, from freelancers to agencies, with programming and events rooted in professional development and networking. Members span a variety of creative and communications roles, including advertising, marketing, and design.

Western Virginia Advertising Awards
AAF Roanoke hosts the first level of the national three-tier American Advertising Awards. Winners at the local level move on to compete in the district, with those winners having the opportunity to vie for national ADDY awards.
Award winners, special award winners, and a new Silver Medalist were honored at the gala on Feb. 22, 2025.
