As part of our public service and education initiatives, AAF Roanoke wants to offer our members and those who share our mission opportunities to impact their community directly.

We are excited to invite you to become an active part of our club by volunteering for one of our committees. Our club thrives on the dedication and passion of our members, and committee volunteers play a vital role in organizing and running club functions and events.
Why Volunteer for a Committee?
Joining a committee is an excellent way to:

Available Committees
Joining a committee is a great resume-booster, and most committee roles aren’t a huge time commitment. (We promise you’ll get as much out of these roles as you put in!)
- Programs Committee: Plan and execute exciting events, social gatherings, and club outings.
- Western Virginia American Advertising Awards Committee: Plan the annual awards gala and help with the event behind the scenes.
- Membership Committee: Focus on recruiting new members, retaining existing ones, and enhancing the overall member experience.
- Communications Committee: Manage our club’s website, social media, and newsletter to keep members informed and engaged.
- Public Service Committee: Organize volunteer opportunities and community service projects.
- National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) Committee: Make connections to college students who are pursuing a career in the industry.

Buzz4Good
You may have seen the “buzz” about Buzz4Good on Blue Ridge PBS or YouTube. Buzz is a television series that features local pros helping nonprofits develop better marketing and ad campaigns. Many of the pros are AAF members giving back to the community as a whole. Watch episodes or contact us to learn how you can get involved.
