Awards Season is Open

We are thrilled to announce the much-anticipated opening of award entries for the Western Virginia Advertising Awards, where AAF Roanoke will celebrate the outstanding advertising work created locally throughout 2024.

The annual competition recognizes exceptional professional and student advertising created in Southwest Virginia. The American Advertising Awards honor advertising excellence across all media, including online, non-traditional, print, broadcast, and out-of-home. This competition serves as the initial tier in a three-level national competition that is the advertising industry’s largest.

American Advertising Awards competition rules, categories, and entry procedures allow online submission and judging. Additional creative materials can be uploaded for entries.

Entrants will have the opportunity to upload digital examples of their entries in every category, providing judges with the content needed for virtual judging and display. To ensure your work is presented accurately throughout all three levels of the American Advertising Awards competition, please adhere to the online submission guidelines provided within the entry system.

For all categories, we invite you to submit physical copies of your work for display at our annual gala. We highly encourage including a physical submission as it adds a layer of visual impact to your entry.

Important Dates

• Professional Entries: Must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday January 10. Click here to submit online. Entry fees are $90 for members and $125 for nonmembers for single entries, and $100 for members and $135 for nonmembers for campaigns.
• Student Entries: Take advantage of our early deadline, which is Friday, December 6, and the final deadline, Friday, January 10 at 5 p.m. Click here for student entries, and the entry fee is only $25.
