We are proud to recognize the winners from the 2012 Western Virginia ADDY® Awards competition, a stepping stone into a three-tiered national competition with all recipients of a Gold ADDY automatically advancing into the regional level that includes winners from Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The advertising community surrounding you is strong. The professionals in our industry work tirelessly to assist businesses in achieving their dreams of success. This is done through understanding needs, creative problem solving and lots of coffee. The American Advertising Federation, or AAF, in Roanoke is the place for individuals to exchange ideas, continue their education, hone leadership skills and give back to our community.
AAF is dedicated to providing a platform for local advertising professionals to have the opportunity to be nationally recognized through the annual ADDY competition. Additionally, our own local club has been nationally recognized by AAF for our stellar programs and our annual public service campaign, CreateAthon. During CreateAthon, we experience a strange excitement as we stay awake for 24-hours straight, while providing an advertising boost to organizations that need marketing assistance. And because one never knows where a career may lead, participants in our networking events and educational luncheons receive a tremendous benefit by presenting themselves to their peers.
